FAT DISSOLVING
What is this?
"fat dissolving injections" may be known as KYBELLA® is also known as BELKYRA® or DEOXYCHOLIC ACID.
Belkyra® or Kybella®, as it is known in the United States, is a non-surgical, injectable product that is fast, safe, and effective in reducing under chin fat in 2-6 treatments. Treatments focus on individual patient goals and are highly customizable.*
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The active ingredient in Belkyra® is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat under the chin, Belkyra® targets the fat cells and once the cells are broken down they can no longer store or accumulate fat. The procedure is highly effective for most patients, with a consistently high patient satisfaction rating.*
Can this work on all my "fat" areas?
The best results are achieved alongside healthy eating, adequate hydration and regular exercise.
Kybella® is used to treat localized areas of adipose tissue (fat). These areas are approximately the size of your palm. Therefore if you want larger areas treated, please advise for your consultation
.
What is the cost?
The cost per treatment of Belkyra ranges from $300 to $600 per treatment depending on the volume of submental fat under the chin. All treatment plans are personalized during your complimentary consultation at which time you will be provided with the cost for your individual treatment.*

What is the downtime? The downtime following a Belkyra treatment varies by individual. Swelling, bruising and redness in the treatment area are typically seen to some degree. The treatment area may feel warm to the touch and the swelling may last several days. If the patient feels self-conscious a turtle neck or scarf may cover the area sufficiently. Physical exercise may be resumed as the patient sees fit; the treated area may be swollen for several days, and any jarring action or jumping or bouncing while swelling is present may be found to be sensitive to the neck.
